Story

The 1984 BYU Cougars football team finished the regular season as the only undefeated team in Division 1-A and secured their first-ever national title by defeating Michigan in the 1984 Holiday Bowl. Led by Head Coach LaVell Edwards and Quarterback Robbie Bosco, the Cougars went 13-0 and proved to be the best team in the country despite not being in a "power conference".
